DE adds a mezzanine floor in the Central Warehouse to provide for an additional 12 individual work stations for M.I.S. / E.Q.T. / MHD / Administration personnel.
DE successfully upgrades its ISO certification to ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004.
DE becomes the first company in Dubai to be issued a License to Store Dangerous Goods under Class 8, UN2794.
The second branch in Saudi Arabia, under the same name of DIESEL EQUIPMENT COMPANY, starts operations in Dammam.
DE sets up its Omani Joint Venture, TECHNIQUE-DAHBASHI LLC, in Muscat.
Later on in the year, DE moves into Saudi Arabia to begin a Joint Venture, DIESEL EQUIPMENT COMPANY, in Riyadh.

DE sets up its Bahrain Joint Venture in the name of DAHBASHI HEAVY EQUIPMENT PARTS & SERVICES.
DE successfully upgrades its ISO certification to 14001:2004.
